It is 2020 and is the higher education pathway of yesterday gone for good? While every local community and education system is scrambling to stay on top of the current student base and learning process, the real question is where do we go from here? We are forever changed, and higher education will need to become fluid to survive.
I task all of my peers in education to step back from the crisis and our comfort levels and think about the successful path for educating all who seek our assistance. With unemployment climbing, small businesses failing due to reduced demand on service and product, now is the time to make effective changes. Education must aid youth in transformation to viable careers and provide adults looking for new skills and career paths a clear, efficient, and economical pathway. It sounds so simple, and almost rudimentary. Many may say, we already do this – what is the catch? The catch is we are missing the mark for the situation we are in today. The challenge is breaking the barriers of the “way we have always done it.”.
Are you with me on this new road to higher learning? Are you intrigued to be a part of something and think broader? Then stay tuned and ping me @ragathacpa or at ragathacpa.
