Accounting 201

Course required text “Financial Accounting 5th edition“, Kemp & Waybright, AND access to MyAccountingLab. Assignments are done in MyAccountingLab and in Canvas You may purchase the Book and MyAccountinglab Access bundle from the college bookstore. Or you may purchase the Ebook and MyAccountingLab access directly from Pearson. If you are purchasing directly from Pearson, you must wait until the first day of class when registration instructions are available.  Syllabus & Course Calendar will be available on Canvas when the course opens.

Acct 201 is the first financial accounting college course covering theory, principles, and procedures. Also covers application of theory and practice to the accounting cycle and to systems design. An emphasis on both the preparer and the information user will be stressed. CSU/UC Transferable. 4 units.

Acct 201 is a rigorous course which requires in depth study and homework outside of class. The amount of time necessary will be dependent on the skill level of each individual student.
